Phuket’s beaches- Commercial Activities Information

Information from the Phuket Governor’s Office.

In addition to the information provided from the Phuket Governor's office on 28th of August 2015 with regards to Phuket Beach commercial activities there is an update.

All Phuket Beaches, inclusive of Patong;

1. All Beach goers can bring their own umbrellas, sun lounger, mats and chairs to the beach and set them up wherever they like. But they must take their equipment back when they leave the beach.

2. Rental operators are allowed to provide mats and umbrellas.  The commercial rental of sun loungers remains prohibited.

3. Rental operators can not stake claims to any part of the beach with unoccupied mats and will not be allowed to rent out chairs.

4. No food, no cigarettes and no alcohol to be sold on the beaches.

5. Selling of non-alcoholic beverages will be allowed

6. Vendors supplying goods such as souvenirs, fireworks or Chinese Lanterns will not be allowed.

7. Marine activities such as jet skiing and para-sailing will continue to operate on Phuket beaches.

8. Massage services will be allowed to work within designated areas.

The team and Management at the Holiday Inn will continue to provide you with the latest updated information on what services will be provided on Phuket’s beaches.
